Research

Although my current interests lie primarily in numerical simulations and scientific computing, I am a mathematician by training. In fact, my original background was in numerical analysis and finite element theory. Over the course of time, my focus has shifted towards computational science. I have pursued graduate research in the field of continuous Galerkin hp-finite elements for fluid-structure interaction problems.

More recently, my research interests have broadened to numerical approximation of fractional-differential operators, nodal discontinuous Galerkin finite elements, and construction of preconditioners for wave propagation problems through randomized linear algebra techniques.

At the moment I am working on ddCOSMO, a recently developed numerical algorithm for solving the polarization equation for the Conductor-like Screening Model (COSMO).
